CongressionalBadBoys.com | home | Sanford Marshall Clement (Mark) Sanford, Jr. Republican-South Carolina (House 199-2000) Oh, sure, he disappeared for 5 days, hiking on the Appalachian Trail.  Then it all unraveled.  Sanford, Bible-quoting, 49-year-old conservative governor with presidential ambitions (hah!!!), was with his Argentine mistress down in Buenos Aires.  Governor, they don't take kindly to stuff like that in Bible-quoting South Carolina.  The eight-year affair unraveled about five months ago, and Sanford was spotted in the Atlanta airport, when he was allegedly on the Appalachian Trail.   Brings back memories of the original "Argentine Firecracker".  Check out the Honorable Wilbur Mills and his babe. Sanford, in a tearful, rambling, bizzaro interview confessed that he had been unfaithful;  he apologized to his wife, his staff, his buddies, his state.   The South Carolina state newspaper's got copies of some of the torrid emails that Sanford sent the babe in Argentina.  Check 'em out.
